Presiding Bishop Election - Third Ballot

The House of Deputies just announced that the Presiding Bishop Election is on its third ballot. The House of Deputies is sequestered at Trinity Episcopal Church here in Columbus and will remain there until they elect a new Presiding Bishop.

The nominees are:

Bishop Edwin Gulick of Kentucky;
Bishop Stacy Sauls of Lexington, Ky., which is a separate diocese;
Bishop Charles Jenkins of Louisiana;
Bishop Neil Alexander of Atlanta
Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori of Nevada
Bishop Henry Parsley of Alabama
Bishop Francisco Duque-Gomez of the Episcopal Church in Colombia (South America), which is part of the U.S. church.

Thanks to Jeff Smith and Peter Frank for the photo. It shows how seriously the House of BIshops takes Homeland Security.
