London Times' Ruth Gledhill interviews Archbishop Venables on the future of TEC and the Anglican Communion

BB NOTE: Read more of Ruth interview here. Archbishop Venables final comment in the video seems rather timely following the press release from Schori & Beers at 815 (see posting below).

Timely indeed. And just how timely was the abrupt end of the released tape? Perhaps something that Ruth did not wish to be shared.

Thanks, Ruth. Some of the commenters on other threads/blogs had also wondered about that.

RE: The tape wasn't intended to end there, you are right. Unfortunately, I completely lost sound at that point

Intent and result may be very different indeed. However in Providence, that ending is VERY powerful & maybe prophetic in it's own right.

It's easy to immediately point to ++KJS's law suite, rightly so. In my personal experience I've noticed a lack of pastoral care, as people issues are less important and clergy is dealing with these "important issues." Also I catch a little flak from Christians outside the issues as they look in and see things. The harder questions that we'd not want to ponder and the lack of charity can be with those who hold the Scriptures to be true (often forgetting the warnings of Matt 12:36&37 or Rom 2:17-24).

Maybe as a story still being written, even yet this one chapter of this story is unfinished, maybe this "technical problem" leaves us with an eerie message that we all need for today.

More questioning of my heart, but when I look at Christ and see the falleness of the many claiming Scripture, worse yet, the excuses made to justify, I have pondered if the Lord is using those we'd never expect in His process of Sanctification.

BTW -- Nice interview!! Interesting use of this medium.

Peace,
Kevin
