Bob Dylan - the Artist

I've been looking forward to seeing Bob Dylan's recent artwork (I originally wrote about it here) and finally found a few that are now being shown in an special exhibition in Germany. They are from his Drawn Blank Series (1989-1992) which just this year (2007) he overpainted 322 of them with gouache or watercolor. I put the copies I have in a short slide show and added his 1963 outtake (a bootleg only for years, it was officially released by Columbia in 1991) called Suze (The Cough Song). Here's the slide show:

Thanks for that. I'm feeling quite a bit down tonight, and this picked me up.

Very cool, indeed.

Considering your moniker of Baby Blue, I thought you'd find my new novel, BLOOD ON THE TRACKS, of interest.

It's a murder-mystery. But not just any rock superstar is knocking on heaven's door. The murdered rock legend is none other than Bob Dorian, an enigmatic, obtuse, inscrutable, well, you get the picture...

Suspects? Tons of them. The only problem is they're all characters in Bob's songs.

You can get a copy on Amazon.com or go "behind the tracks" at www.bloodonthetracksnovel.com to learn more about the book.
