We're off to pick up our copy today. If you've all ready read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, you will be quite familiar with this book, a collection of children's stories, with Hermoine Granger inheriting Albus Dumbledore's personal copy which she read constantly while on the road, as it were, with Ron and Harry. Apparently this edition comes complete with Dumbledore's own annotations.The original edition was seven personally handwritten and illustrated copies by author J. K. Rowling which she gave to special friends. One of these copies, however, was set aside for a charity auction which went for just under $4 million by the online bookseller Amazon.com, making it the highest selling price achieved at auction for a modern literary manuscript.
All of the proceeds for the officially published edition will also go to charity.
