Tuesday Night at the Cafe: BabyBlue's Post-Lambeth Commentary in Song

There's BabyBlue's Post-Lambeth podcast Commentary here and here - but in the final analysis, this blast from the past just seems to sum up in one peppy retro-tune Rowan Williams' final remarks on the last day of the Lambeth Conference 2008. The question remains: Who will meet Rowan halfway - and who will leave him standing in the cold?

Aha! I know what the song is without even playing it! ;) (I have a copy of it somewhere around here on an old 45!)

That video is so odd for me to watch now, because I always watched that show ... but since I was about Danny's age, I always looked at Keith and Laurie as quite a bit older, as adults.

How incredibly young they look to me now!

I totally agree! I'm a year younger than Danny and thought the same thing when the show was on. By the way - and any Partridge Family fan knows this because of their second album, Up to Date, today is Danny's birthday. Happy Birthday, Danny.

Where else can we go from Lambeth to the Partridge Family but here at the Cafe?! Somehow, for some reason, their songs have held up. Who would have thought it?

A view of a lost species along the evolutionary road of Rock.

Is there a video of Gene Robinson singing "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone" with The Monkees?

Or, perhaps, KJS singing "Daydream Believer" ...

Cheer up, sleepy Gene+,
Oh, what can it mean
To a daydream believer,
And a homecoming queen?

>And a homecoming queen?

Is that like a June bride?
