I enjoyed that thoroughly. Congratulations to Truro Church. I am actually going to be in a few weeks and hope to visit.

BTW, Tory mentions Amy Carmichael and didn't finish the story. Amy exposed the selling of children into temple prostitution by dying her skin and entering the temple in a sari. The exposure brought the consternation of the authorities and criminal charges. A three word telegram came from England, "Criminal charges dismissed." Recognition from queen Mary was soon forthcoming, so apparently her good work had not gone unnoticed. Hundreds of girl babies were dropped off and she started an orphanage, Dohnavur house. She was Amma to them all which is Tamil for mamma. She referred to all the orphans as her gems. When she died, she asked that no stone be placed on her grave but rather a bird bath on which the word Amma was inscribed.
