God bless you, Mr. President

I face the world as it is, and cannot stand idle in the face of threats to the American people. For make no mistake: evil does exist in the world. A non-violent movement could not have halted Hitler’s armies. Negotiations cannot convince al Qaeda’s leaders to lay down their arms. To say that force is sometimes necessary is not a call to cynicism – it is a recognition of history; the imperfections of man and the limits of reason.

Sounds like the President's been reading Reinhold Niebuhr.

Jimmy Carter has managed to ignore reality for his entire life. Dare we hope that Barack Obama is a quicker study?

Wow, didn't see that coming, I am almost impressed. Maybe he does "get it", a little.

you give him way too much credit; just like most progressives, his words don't line up with his actions.

If only he believed his own words we might be OK. Sadly, this is merely a case of the TelePrompter getting off the reservation and Obama dutifully mouthing its words. The TelePrompter will be repaired post haste.

Does the man make the office or does the office make the man?

In this case, it may be the latter.

So that pummelling that Obama and his lib friends kept giving George Bush before, during, and after the election was wrong after all?

BTW: What DID Obama do within 3 weeks of becoming President to earn the Nobel Peace Prize? After all he was nominated within a month of being sworn in as the President. Answer: He kept the policies of George Bush in force and attended parties. (Had yet to pick a church to start attending, though).
