Just curious - why isn't Matt Kennedy home taking care of his parish? I see the collar. Is he not paid to take care of his parish? Is there no one in the hospital tonight in need of a visit? How about the youth program? It seems like misplaced energy to me. How does he get away with it?

Matt Kennedy is serving Jesus Christ and the Church. He is a hard-working and conscientious priest. How do you get away with questioning his integrity?

This is actually the tail end of my vacation time. We have just hired a youth minister...so I trust he is taking care of his ministry.

You seem a little defensive. Must have pushed a button. I still bet there is plenty left to do back at home. Let's be honest. This is all politics. No one back in NY is being saved by this. Matt only has so much energy. Perhaps he should spend it on his parish. That's the best way he can serve the Anglican Communion. You know it just as well as I do.

Hmmm....interesting, lodge an online charge against someone...namely that he is neglecting his parish. The one charged comes on to explain why that is not the case and then you say "he's being defensive". So, let me get this straight. Basically, you can say anything you want without basis, make any charge, and anyone who defends himself is "defensive."

What an odd poster you are?

My parish, as I said, is just fine thank you. In 5 years the average ASA of CNY parishes has decreased by 5%. God has blessed my small parish with growth from 47 on a sunday in 2002 to 80 in 2006, and we're looking possibly at 90 in 2007. Much of this growth comes from new converts, people coming in off the streets through our weekly soup kitchen and through our personal evangelism and door to door efforts...

Thanks for your concern. We'd love to have you visit.

Let me get this straight, you seem up set by Matt Kennedy+'s reporting so now looking for something else to criticism him?

You know when one move to ad hominem attacks it very clear one has run out of real complaints and moving to mud slinging.

I truly doubt there is a great concern for the congregation else one might ask a variety of questions first, ask in what capacity he's employed (rector to assco. rector to supply priest without a congregation) it is clear by "I see the collar. Is he not paid to take care of his parish?" the commentor does not know -- BTW supply priest and assoc. rectors vastly outnumber rectors since the usual parish in my experience is 1 rector and 1 or 2 assistances. So that means this person has done no research to make a claim, if they top heavy like my parish (in the midst of planting) or if short staffed (Truro has a vacancy after McMullen+ left).

Basically, it sounds as if Matt+ has them on the run ... Go Matt, Go!!
