U2 Watch Continues: Magnificent!
Yes, they did what may be my most favorite composition by U2 in twenty years last night on David Letterman. This is it: The Song of the Year.
THURSDAY AM UPDATE: Last night's Top Ten - presented by the four members of the band - went, well, right out of the park. Edge's ad lib answer of "Sting" was enough to bring down the house.
In addition, we've just learned that if you are at Fordham in New York,U2 will be performing for breakfast, where they will go on live for ABC's Good Morning America (which I remember them performing on when they were just starting out). If you have a Fordham ID, breakfast will never be the same. Read more here.
Tip of the Tinfoil to DL!

Wow! Thanks, Mary. My husband recorded Letterman Monday night so we could see U2's performance then, but forgot to set it to record last night's show.
(I think you may be right about the Song of the Year.)
I hear there are some other really good tracks on the album but haven't had the chance to listen to it yet - but yes, this one is extraordinary - they are on a roll.
