Monday Night at the Cafe: Time to Post This

It just seems time to post this. Thanks, RWB. We must never forget - no, not ever forget.

Scenes are of beautiful Scotland - a country that has known such loss, such great loss - sending so many into exile, to the Promised Land, to America. And yet - and yet - grace abides, the amazing grace that knows no limits but the love of Jesus Christ who redeems all things. All things. How can it be?

That was incredibly beautiful. I found it soul-stirring (not that I'm the gr-gr-grandchild of William Wallace McClung or anything.)

The honours of the Kingdom are on exhibition in Edinburgh Castle. They are a sword, a scepter and a crown. It says a lot about the national temperament. My late mother was a Campbell. The Highlands were in her DNA

Thank you for posting this. It has filled my soul. Today as I played it again, I was reminded of my Scottish ancestor who found hope and courage as he watched a spider try and try and try again to attach her web and finally succeed. I asked God to help me keep trying to make those connections he calls me to make as I struggle in this crumbling branch of the Anglican Church. He hasn't yet said, "Give it up!" I bless both those who must stay and those who must leave.
