Update

We've learned that the bishops have broken for lunch. They will reconvene around 2:30 p.m. and after about fifteen minutes they will invite the press back in.

Jim Rosenthall just announced that the ACC folks are gone. Many folks are trying to pack, figure out ways to the airport, while covering the coming event. Not to disappoint, it comes down to the last minute.

I do hope people check the airlines. There is a huge back up of airlines due to Memphis regional air traffic control losing 3 radar towers. Things are backing up all over the nation due to this.

Too bad this whole little morality play couldn't be played out instead as the final act of a Gilbert and Sullivan opera.

Then we'd see at the last minute a grand reunion of all parties, a joyous reconcilliation, a wedding (instead of a pending divorce), and a hearty chorus of everyone singing ...

"For we are an Anglican,
For we ourselves have said it,
And it's greatly to our credit
For we are all Anglicans
For we are ..... all Anglicans."

Curtain drops.

But I suppose it will no matter what else happens.

All kidding aside BB ... I know what you need this afternoon. You may be only a short way from Bourbon St, but what you need is "A Shot of Love."

I'm sure you must have it on your ipod ... so turn it up and sing along and think of it as the theme song for today.

Blessings.

Mary, I've enjoyed your little video vignettes. I hope you're now home, safe and sound, sleeping off the disappointments of the past week. The way you stated that Bishop Howe was still there reflected the way I felt when I read that +Stanton was still there working on the draft of this afternoon's statement.

Did you get to speak much with Cherie Wetzel? How about Doug LeBlanc? Was he there?
