GAFCON starts tomorrow, friends

Golly, the conference in Jerusalem hasn't even started yet and so many on the left side of the press room all ready have their huggies in a wad. They are busy tolling the Death Knell and Matt Kennedy isn't even there yet, for heaven's sake.

Here's a gathering today of the editorial board of the London Telegraph just before Elevenses.

It might be better if they just settle down and sleep it off. All this sound and fury of the past couple of days - and the heart of the meetings don't actually begin until Sunday or Monday - seems a bit, well, exaggerated.

The naysayers and loud opponents of the Godly gathered at GAFCON cannot perceive or appreciate what will really happen at GAFCON. (see John 3:3)

There will be real and substantive benefit and action in Jerusalem, though invisible to the natural eye and mind.

There will be a banquet table spread before the attendees that will make anything Lambeth or Windsor Palaces could offer seem stale and meager.

GAFCON may not mean a formal split or bring forth a document...The Way, The Truth and The Life is already statement enough.

They will receive fresh fire from God, encourage and build each other up, commend themselves and each other to His word of grace (Acts 20:32) pray in one accord for their many ongoing battles.

May they be blessed, filled, encouraged, uplifted, strengthened, comforted beyond all measure!

May they receive the 'orders' 'equipment' and 'supplies' to restore, renew and revive Anglicanism to a place where it has never hoped to be, a church that gives all glory and brings glory to God, Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask orthink, accoring to the power that worketh in us, Unto Him be glory in the Church by Christ Jesus throughout all the ages. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)
