Episcopal Church near site of 2009 General Convention holds wedding of two men in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles

Presided by the rector of All Saints, Pasadena, gay activist Mel White gets married to his male partner in an wedding ceremony in an Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Los Angeles yesterday. All Saints is within a stone's throw of the scheduled 2009 General Convention. The Bishop of Los Angeles, Jon Bruno continues to look the other way in defiance. Looks like we have a full-scale political uprising underway in these weeks leading up to Lambeth.

He even started his own denomination, so why an Episcopal church? I guess he's trying to make trouble? I still can't believe how these people deify their own desires at all costs... creepy and depressing.

"A stone's throw" is pushing the metaphor pretty far. It's about 35 miles from Pasadena to the Anaheim Convention Center, which is next to Disneyland. The more I see of Russell and Co's "in your face" defiance and lying, the more thankful I'm no longer a member of that corrupt organization!

You'd have to have a pretty good arm to throw a stone from Pasadena to Anaheim ... but we are in the same diocese.
