On Sunday, January 14, two more parishes in the Diocese of Virginia voted to sever ties with The Episcopal Church and join the Anglican District of Virginia, CANA.
Church of the Epiphany
Herndon, Virginia
Resolution #1: 78% voted yes to sever ties with the Episcopal Church and affiliate with CANA
Resolution #2: 89% voted yes for the majority to keep the property
Our Saviour, Oatlands
Hamilton, Virginia
Resolution #1: 97% voted yes to sever ties with the Episcopal Church affiliate with CANA
Resolution #2: 97% voted yes for the majority to keep the property
You can click on the headline above to read the resolutions (at the Epiphany website). Please keep these two parishes, their vestries, and their clergy in your prayers.
BB NOTE: I believe that there are now officially about fifteen churches in the Diocese of Virginia that have publicly severed ties from The Episcopal Church. The total membership of all these churches put together would make it a medium-sized diocese in The Episcopal Church.

Yet that inconvenient fact won't make TEC wake from her slumber and pull a U-turn back to any recognisable orthodoxy.
I'm a Deacon in one of those "extramural" Anglican denominations, and we are actively planting parishes in Virginia. We're not waiting around for other people to do it for us. One of our newest plants is in the Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania area.
Unhappy Episcopalians in the Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania area would do well to consider a visit to St. Luke's, a small but well established parish of the Anglican Catholic Church.
The parish website is presently under revision, but the diocesan website may be found at:
