The questions at the end are, for church political things, more important than the rest of the talk -
http://www.anglicansunited.com/?p=9683#more-9683

It includes this:
I agree that the times today need Orthodox Anglicans from around the world to lead. We’ve been reactive for 10 years now and need to take the lead and look at a gathering of Bishops and Primates. The Global South bishops and primates need to meet with orthodox bishops in the West. This meeting is being planned.

Hello Wilf

I think if you do not take in the superb analysis and prescription in the talk itself, you are missing a gem. When I heard and read it, it blew me away. It gives all of us a very positive message on how to get back on track but individually and as a church. Someone on SF asked a few days ago who will provide leadership to us, and someone else answered that God will provide this, but we just don't know who.

I think that this prayer may have been answered and may I recommend that you read this piece carefully, for it seems to me that as +Mouneer unpacks Scripture for this purpose, God has given us a a very clear steer.

I give thanks for Archbishop Mouneer, a prophet in our time and pray for him and the persecuted Christians of Egypt, as well as for the hard work and faithfulness of Kevin Kallsen who brought us this.

Pagaentmaster,

Very much agreed. Thanks for stimulating me to read the whole thing.

Pageantmaster,
"Someone on SF asked a few days ago who will provide leadership to us, and someone else answered that God will provide this, but we just don't know who." Well now, whoever could that have been who posed such a question? I'm glad to see you moving on from the current ABC to someone with credibility and actually naming names for a possible leader. We are in agreement here but there are any number who have the leadership skills.Someone with Vision is a crucial Charism at this point. I believe God has already spoken to the heart of the next leader about this.

I'd love to see Greg Venables' retirement plans postponed. He doesn't have to look after a whole province any more and could give the time necessary for prayer / digesting all the information / evaluating plans etc. etc.. The ABC keeps himself busy with the whole Church of England and all its drama, writing scholarly articles, making comments to British newspapers about various justice issues, etc. etc., with such a lack of time, one exposes one's self in a different time to manipulation.

Hi Fr Dale

'Twas thee? Glad to see your prayers answered.

"I'm glad to see you moving on from the current ABC to someone with credibility and actually naming names for a possible leader."

I am afraid I am a bit slower than you give me credit for to join the dots; what I will say is that I think that +Mouneer Anis is exhibiting exactly the leadership which we need and which are so lacking frome anything we have seen from the ABC.

regards
