UPDATE: Photos!

Just in:

...EXTREMELY DANGEROUS WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS DEVELOPING TONIGHT...

GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH VISIBILITIES FREQUENTLY
FALLING BELOW ONE-QUARTER MILE DUE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL DEVELOP
TONIGHT TO PRODUCE NEAR-BLIZZARD AND EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS WINTER WEATHER

DISCOURAGED TONIGHT AND WILL BE VERY DANGEROUS.

LOOKING BACK AT THE BIGGEST STORM OF RECORD FOR WASHINGTON DC... THE
JANUARY 1922 KNICKERBOCKER STORM...28.0 INCHES OF SNOW WAS
PRODUCED FROM 3.02 INCHES OF LIQUID WATER. CURRENT FORECASTS FOR

Maps look like it may let up sooner than expected, but it's been pretty dramatic so far. 10pm and a neighbor is using his snow blower. Wow.

I'm in Baltimore, waiting out the storm. My teenage sons should make a king's ransom shoveling out the neighbors. (After shoveling out dear old Dad first.)
Love the blog. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

The century has only begun. There may be more record snowfalls yet to come. You may want to stock up on food, water, safe portable heating units (in case of power outages), sleds, huskies, and artic wear.

I love the snow, but the coverage on TV is way over-kill. I'd rather be watching the golf tournament now.

This is all a result of the PB, the Bishop's committee, the protocol, and whatever else, right? It seems to me this is your chance to blame TEC for this, too. Go for it!
