One reason I love being an American

All I can say is, only in America. God bless the President and God bless Ronald Reagan.

Growing up in DC, I've always had a deep sense of the loyal opposition and what I can't stand is die-hards of either side. Of course, being in DC, it draws ... guess what?

Then the difference is most of the passionate are young, only here for a few years to bring about the change they want then disappear when they discover that it's a marathon, not a sprint. Where growing up, all my friends parents were on different sides of the fence, each posing with a different president hanging somewhere.

Obama has been busy, continuing full steam ahead, like TEC, with his unscriptural agenda...he has declared June LGBT 'gay' 'pride' month:

Wonder if he'll be riding in one of the parades?

I did wake up this morning and think about the fact that he's off to to Saudi Arabia today and all that, a nice follow-up to yesterday's signing of the Reagan bill. It's hard not to let cynicism creep in after - as Kevin says - we realize this is a marathon not a sprint. Reagan was the definitive president for Barry's and my generation, there's no doubt about that.

I'm not so sure though about all the gay/lesbian stuff when it comes to marriage. The president does seem sincere in reaching out to the Muslim population and I don't think he's going to back down on marriage. Frankly, I'm thinking that he's taken his stand against gay marriage because of his "Muslim roots" and not his Christian ones. That occurred to me this morning as well.

I wonder if Nancy's astrologer told her some years ago that this would happen......

Remember he is a politician.....that is why he says things like, "As in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed (peace be upon them) joined in prayer."

I missed that week in Sunday school!
