It was as fine a morning, from a weather standpoint, as one could ever want. This September, we have had some splendid weather and several days that, for all their beauty, remind us vividly of the horror of that day. Early Autumn is a glorious season in the Mid-Atlantic region. All of us old enough to be aware of what was happening on September 11, 2001 will always have very mixed reactions to these beautiful, clear, crisp days of mid and late September.
