The Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams reflects on the New Year

He's getting more sophisticated in his videos. I like the idea of Rowan Williams wandering about the streets of London in his long black cape, pondering injustices of the world. A sort of Anglican Batman.

I've long seen a resemblance between
Rowan Williams and Dumbledore, but I love the idea of an "Anglican Batman"!

Does no one find it at all odd that there were no Christmas nor New Year messages from Bob I?

There's an old folk-type (but commercial) song by Roger McGuin (sp?) that has the chorus -"Let me take you by the hand and lead you through the streets of London. . ." that comes to mind. If the BB magic musical channel is what I think it is, she might be able to find a version of it.

Wandering & pondering are great activities so long as they are accompanied by the expected next step of reasoned action....

...or else one is the same as those who wander and ponder in their own worlds in mental institutions.

Thanks BB - I knew you could do it, even with a faulty old-guy memory clue. So maybe the Archbishop could put a music track to his message.
