A Dream Within a Dream

Had to cross "Newark Street" to get to the Cathedral.

Is that "Re" Construction?

A metaphor for The Episcopal Church.

Some things you just can't make up.

It is a beautiful building! I'm reminded what Bp. Doli told his despondent in Lui, Sudan after their Cathederal was bomb, "What? They didn't destroy our cathedral, here is our Cathederal [point back to the crowd]." DC is not lost, there is an AMiA & a Bp. Lyon's parish, interestingly until recently both hosted by Baptist. Bill's move means he'll draw in more of the outcast our Lord & Savior tended to hang out with than those at those surrounding KJS today. Episcopalians/Anglicans have a faithful remnant, the Lord seems to choice to do great things from remnants.

Rev. Richard Chrisinger, a pastor of a two bit non-dom, few would notice, but who help straighten me out, had a pet saying, "As I read it, it's not going to be a group deal, where you can say, but he, but she, at the end of the day it's just you and the Lord. All that's going to matter is what you did for Him."

Things seem a little wacky in TEC right now. The parish I'm now a member is on opposite side of the one of my baptism. Richard words help hold me to what matters.

It is a beautiful building. We should give our God thanks for the stone-carvers and skill needed to create such a building and we should remember, despite the homily today, cathedrals as architecture were design to draw the people's attention to the heavens and unto our God.
