So while many people may leave, I would not say that this is the death of TEC.

I have been an Episcopalian all my life, and never been prouder of this church than I was on Monday when this vote took place. It does not make sense to me to block someone from fulfilling his or her calling to serve God because of whom they may love.

While we are indeed One Body in Christ, we are also called by our Baptismal Covenant to respect the dignity of EVERY human being. That includes the Gay and Lesbian Community.Jessie, OKCnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23327221.post-48748746067454945162009-07-15T10:22:48.538-04:002009-07-15T10:22:48.538-04:00BB,

If for argument's sake the constituents of the 28% who voted against DO25 were even a quarter of a million members and they left TEC, where would they go? Presumably some would likely go with ACNA, but I think that there might be a sizeable number who would not. What could happen to them?RMBrutonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15017576806723146013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23327221.post-18185348245590665742009-07-14T20:57:39.595-04:002009-07-14T20:57:39.595-04:00B.B: It's too bad that there's some rather...B.B: It's too bad that there's some rather bad language in the song, or I would encourage you to rack up "This Is The End" by The Doors.

Seems somewhat appropriate, don't you think?Ixoye3https://www.blogger.com/profile/02134250652442893146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23327221.post-84616948164706118352009-07-14T20:30:24.304-04:002009-07-14T20:30:24.304-04:00Sigh.. Considering the decline in TEC membership over the past couple of decades, I would say it aint working so well. Sad but that will be the consequence of all this inclusive nonsense that the progressive are pursuing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23327221.post-13838544062368939322009-07-14T19:51:13.770-04:002009-07-14T19:51:13.770-04:00Terrible development, of course.
